Becoming A Member

Being a member of the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus is not just about affiliation, it's about active participation in driving change in our communities on the Lower Eastern Shore.

There are two types of memberships: general and voting. Both memberships grant you the privilege to fully participate in group activities, join committees, and engage in our debates.

To earn voting rights, you must meet two out of three criteria:

1. Attend three meetings within the last eight months
2. Be active in a Caucus workgroup (endorsement from the workgroup chair is required)
3. Participate in a Caucus event

GENERAL MEMBER

Every member is crucial to our mission. We celebrate diversity and will not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, place of origin, abilities, or socio-economic status.

However, we uphold a strict code of conduct for all members. Violations, including but not limited to physical aggression, verbal harassment, sexual misconduct, misuse of our resources or name for personal gain, or actions counter to the caucus's interests, may result in termination of membership through a disciplinary proceeding and a ⅔ majority vote from a quorum of members.

Join us in making a progressive impact on our communities. Your involvement will make a world of difference.
